These Terms govern your use of RimScan, an external attack-surface monitoring and vulnerability-scanning service. Please obtain legal advice before relying on this template for a public launch.
1. Authorization is required
Before adding a target, you must confirm that you own the domain or have documented, written permission to scan it. Authorization may include the target being expressly listed in an applicable bug-bounty program scope, such as HackerOne or Bugcrowd, or written permission from the domain owner.
You must not use RimScan to scan a third party without authorization. You are solely responsible for verifying scope, timing, rate limits, and exclusions. RimScan does not authorize any scan and is not responsible for unauthorized activity. You bear all legal liability, claims, losses, and costs arising from scans you initiate without the right to do so.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use RimScan. If you register or use RimScan on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Acceptable use
You may not use the service to facilitate attacks, disruption, credential theft, exploitation, harassment, evasion of access controls, or other unlawful conduct. You may not resell, abuse, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or use it to process data you are not entitled to access.
3. Service and results
RimScan helps identify externally observable domains, subdomains, DNS and certificate information, potential takeover conditions, and security findings. Results depend on available data, configuration, timing, and scanner coverage. The service is provided as is and does not guarantee that every asset, vulnerability, or security issue will be found or prevented.
4. Accounts, plans, and billing
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report unauthorized access. Free and Pro plans have the limits and features shown in the product. Paid subscriptions are billed through Lemon Squeezy; applicable taxes and charges are shown at checkout. You may cancel according to the billing controls and terms presented by Lemon Squeezy. Cancellation does not retroactively refund completed billing periods unless required by law or the checkout terms.
5. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for unauthorized scanning, unlawful use, abuse, security risk, non-payment, or material breach. You may stop using the service and request account deletion through Settings. Provisions concerning authorization, liability, disclaimers, and dispute obligations survive termination.
6. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RimScan disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RimScan and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or loss-of-profit damages, or for unauthorized activity caused by your instructions. Any aggregate direct liability is limited to the fees you paid for the service during the applicable twelve-month period.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply, subject to any notice required by law. General questions about these Terms should be sent to support@rimscan.cloud.
